This print is for the Portland Museum of Art’s Artists Contemporaries Winter Bash. Myself, along with 4 other local artists, most of whom are part of Pickwick Independent Press were asked to create an edition of 55 prints being 8in.-10in. about the current show Lois Dodd’s: Catching the Light. After doing a bit of research on the show and her pieces this is what I came up with, it’s an outside landscape of one of my favorite places in the Portland area. I chose not to try and replicate Dodd’s work directly but instead look at the work and just create whatever came to me after taking it all in and going about my regular day. In creating this piece I used photography that I later redrew after finding a photo of the place that I really liked. then taking it into Photoshop and adding colors and textures, then doing the actual printing. This is a 3 color screen print with 1 split fountain of blues as the first layer. After the printing was done and because this piece was small enough to scan in I used the actual scan as the final digital piece, so what your viewing above is the actual print and not a digital creation.
These prints will be given away to 55 people who attend the event on the 7th of February at the PMA, in Portland. I also made a small edition for myself that I will release at a later date.

Beautiful piece! Nice work.
