About a month or two ago myself and Lisa Pixley, owner and operater of Pickwick Independent Press, designed and printed the poster for tomorrow Block Party presented by SPACE Gallery. view all information here.
This print took hoursss to lay out on the bed of the Vandercook Press in Pickwick. It consists on lead, wood and a lino cut type, all pieced together to fit on the bed perfectly and took up all of the printing room we had. We basically designed it as we layed it out. Here are a few shots from the making of the poster as well as the finished piece. About 100 or so were printed on canvas and a few also on paper.
I do not have any of these available, all were used in the promoting of the event so I’m sure if you look around Portland a bit you can go steal one or ask nicely since the event is tomorrow! Go to it!
